A TDMS-Plus Master Station and Sentinel-21 processors located at the substation selectively extract data from industry standard Intelligent Electronic Devices (IED’s). And, the IED data concentrated in a Sentinel-21 Processor can be auto-imported into the central TDMS-Plus Master Station database.
SoftMUX uses a single communication channel to multiplex communication from a QEI Master Station and 3rd party software applications to QEI RTUs and 3rd party field devices located at remote locations. QEI’s Sentinel-21 processors route communication from the external applications at the TDMS-Plus Master to 3rd party devices on serial data ports at the substation.
Create Alarm Groups that filter alarms: • By Station Names, Point Names, or Point Types
• By Alarm Severities or Zones of Responsibility
Select when you will be sent which types of alarms: • which E-mail Alarm Groups are enabled
• time-of-day or day-of-week E-mail Alarms are enabled
• holidays E-mail Alarms are enabled
Open Database Access (ODA) continuously publishes live SCADA system status & analog point data, event data, alarm data, and historical data to a Corporate Relational Database on an intermediate server that can be accessed over the Corporate Network and the Internet.
Applications throughout the utility have open access to live SCADA data:
• Realtime Web Pages, Web Reports, Email Alarms
• Engineering Analysis & Management Reports
• Outage Notification & Restoration
• Maintenance and Usage Reporting
• Data Warehousing
Your SCADA Server remains secure:
• There is no direct connection or security threat to your SCADA system.
• SCADA data is available to software applications throughout the utility.
• Using standard database tools, eliminates dependence on proprietary solutions.
TDMS-Plus Web Reports
Make interactive TDMS-Plus Web Reports on live SCADA system data available to authorized personnel using a standard Internet browser. Live SCADA data is published to a separate SQL server, so there is no direct Internet connection or security threat to the SCADA system server.
Authorized users access the information they need with a standard Internet Browser:
• Overview Report: recent alarms and stations that have active alarms
• Alarm Report: for selected times, stations, point types, priority, zones of responsibility
• Event Report: for selected stations, event type, time ranges
• Analog & Status Summary Reports: for selected stations, point conditions, alarm state
• Historical Data Graphs: for selected sets of points and measurement categories
Automate distribution of customized reports:
• Customize reports with pull-down menus of filtering parameters.
• Schedule automatic generation and emailing of reports.
• Export reports in common file formats (HTML, XML, Excel, PDF, TIFF, CSV).
Your SCADA Server remains secure with no direct connection to the Internet.
