Design

QEI develops and submits all approval submittal documentation:

  • Catalog Cut Sheets
  • Control House Structural Drawings − Layout Drawings
  • Interconnection Drawings
    • Block Diagrams
  • Point Assignment Sheets

Procurement

All material is purchased by QEI per the approved submittal:

  • Prefabricated House
  • Electrical infrastructure − Panels
  • RTU
  • Automation Equipment

Internal Assemblies

QEI factory builds its own assemblies:

  • Instrumentation Panels
  • Remote Terminal Units (RTUs)
  • Termination Cabinets
  • Miscellaneous Cabinetry Assemblies
  • All assemblies built are inspected to ensure specification and approval compliance.
  • All assemblies are configured as required.
  • All assemblies undergo unit testing to ensure proper wiring and operation.

Testing

All equipment installed, wired and configured are tested in its final configuration per the specification and approval:

  • External Power
  • Internal Power
  • Communication
  • Battery Charging
  • Emergency Signage − Switching
  • Automation

Final Assembly

  • All assemblies are staged and mounted into the final configuration and layout; i.e., Control House.
  • All assemblies are wired in accordance to specification and approvals.
  • All assemblies are fully configured in accordance to specification and approvals.

Factory Acceptance Testing

  • QEI performs witnessed/unwitnessed acceptance tests on the entire Control House.
  • Once testing is completed the Control Panel is ready for delivery and final onsite installation.

Field Commissioning

QEI field personnel will go onsite and perform a final field acceptance test, as required, to ensure that all external field wiring and communications are working properly.

  • Only unknown in the field are the field Connections.
  • Onsite test time is fast & efficient due to factory assembly and testing.
  • Onsite startup and commissioning is more efficient, has less risk and lowers cost.
